Are you a retired entrepreneur, or a business owner who wants to prioritize your purpose and give back? We need YOU to help inspire Miami’s young people, teaching entrepreneurship to underrepresented high school students, and showing them how to live out their American dreams! 

 

JA Miami is an educational nonprofit that provides free, hands-on, in-class financial literacy programs throughout Miami-Dade and Monroe County public schools. We’re expanding our entrepreneurship track with JA Entrepreneurial Mindset , and are looking for a cohort of volunteer mentors to work with high school students.

JA Entrepreneurial Mindset, a one-semester teacher-led course, introduces high school students to the basics of starting a business, including developing entrepreneurial abilities, identifying a business opportunity, creating a business plan, economics, and the stages of business growth. 

You will: share your experiences, give advice, and support the vetted curriculum that goes over the nuts and bolts of entrepreneurship at an age-appropriate level over the course of a semester.

We will: provide training, scheduling and placement, classroom materials, and support along the way!
