Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge

Students are taught economic education is not only about financial literacy; rather, it is also about the larger economic forces which affect everyones financial circumstance. The Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge allows students to visualize, first-hand, how the laws of economics unfold in the real world. With equity markets as the model, students see the raw and unfettered forces of private enterprise and market economics play out. Unlike real equity markets, the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge offers students a safe and pain-free place to learn and practice valuable lessons about economic decision making, investing, and market forces. The final classroom visit is an online simulation, and the program culminates with a capstone event/competition, between thirteen high schools. This event has become known as the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge.
